Juricа Levatić is a computer scientist with over ten years of experience in machine learning and data science. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Zagreb and a Ph.D. in Data Science from the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
From 2018 to 2021, he pursued postdoctoral studies under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie program at the Biomedical Research Institute in Barcelona, and subsequently worked for two years as a computational biologist at C2i Genomics Inc.
Currently, he works as a researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. Throughout his career, he has collaborated on multiple international projects, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and led a research team that secured first place in the Mars Express Machine Learning Challenge organized by the European Space Agency (ESA).
